Elise Renwick RA AIA is one of the Founding Partners of AROA. She graduated with honors from Pratt Institute School of Architecture in 2008, and received the Circle Award for Academic Excellence. While at Pratt she had the honor of studying abroad with the Pratt Rome Honors Program in 2008. She also completed her Masters of Science and Advanced Architectural Design at Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (GSAPP) in 2010.
She has worked for multiple firms including; Via Architecture, Riser + Umemoto, and Joeb Moore + Partners. Elise has taught design studios and research seminars as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute in New York, and has participated on critique boards at University of Illinois at Chicago, Illinois Institute of Technology, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Columbia University, and Pratt Institute. Elise has sat on the board for the Chicago Architectural Club, The International Women's Association and President of Columbia University Alumni Club of Chicago. Elise is a registered architect and NCARB certified in New York, Michigan, and Illinois.
Elise’s hobbies include competitive sailboat racing, travel, new experiences, and living in different cultures. She runs a small designed objects firm Elise K. Design Studio where she can experiment with the limits of laser cutting in different materials.
